Hoffman Estates police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 10:00 p.m. Sunday to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Golf Rd (Route 58) and Sutton Rd (Route 59). According to fire communications, two accident victims required extrication.
Both vehicles and debris appeared to be slightly south of the intersection, according to reports from witnesses. Both vehicles had severe front-end damage. One of the vehicles was possibly a gray older model Toyota Camry.
Southbound Route 59 traffic was diverted east and west on Shoe Factory Road. Golf Road had limited traffic flow about 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police and towing vehicles were getting ready to clear the intersection about 10:40 p.m. and started to open up the intersection about that time also.
