Cook County Sheriff Police Arrest Arlington Heights Man, Nicholas Eich on Drug Charges

Cook County Sheriff’s police officers arrested Nicholas Eich, 23, and charged him with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Police discovered 25 Vicodin pills, two amphetamine pills, a small amount of heroin and a hypodermic needle, according to Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Jerome Allen statement during Eich’s bond hearing Saturday in Rolling Meadows.

Police were investigating Nicholas Eich, of the 1900 block of Verde Drive, Arlington Heights man in connection with a burglary, arrested him on drug-related charges after sheriff’s officers observed needle marks consistent with drug use and Eich admitted to officers that he had drugs in his possession.

Cook County Judge Anthony Iosco set bail at $10,000 for Eich who Allen says violated the one-year conditional discharge he received for reckless driving, which was unrelated to the new case

Eich is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, July 12, 2011.
