Woman Awakens to Find Man Climbing in Her Bedroom Window on Woods Drive

Arlington Heights police received a report about 2:55 a.m. Thursday of a residential burglary that just occurred in the 1500 block of Woods Drive. A woman woke up in her apartment to discover a man climbing in her bedroom window. The man hid in the closet, but then left by climbing out the bedroom window.

The offender was described as a male/white about 25-years-old, 5’10” 185 LBS. He had dark brown hair in a buzz cut and was wearing a T-shirt and jeans.

Police did an extensive search of the area with a K-9 unit, and called in the assistance of Cook County Sheriff deputies who were in the area. The offender was not found. He possibly fled northbound through the Randhill Park Cemetery, just north of Rand Road and east of Route 53.
