VIDEO: DUI tow of white Toyota Avalon near LIFETIME FITNESS on Higgins Road in Schaumburg after a slow pursuit that started on Golf Road in Arlington Heights.
Arlington Heights police attempted a traffic stop on westbound Golf Road just before 1:10 a.m. Thursday. A police officer reported that a driver was not stopping as far as westbound Golf Road near the Route 53 underpass. The driver apparently continued at normal or slow speeds and made a left turn at Meacham Road and then a right turn at Woodfield Road. The driver continued past National Parkway and then turned southbound on a driveway to LIFETIME FITNESS, 900 East Higgins Road. The driver stopped just before the parking lot of the fitness center.
A short time later, the driver was arrested DUI, and transported to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. The driver’s white Toyota Avalon was towed to a police holding area by Hillside Towing.
