Atlanta-based private equity firm Roark Capital Group reproted Monday that it has acquired Il Fornaio (America) Corp., which owns the Corner Bakery Cafe, which was founded by Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises in Chicago in 1991, and the upscale Italian Il Fornaio Restaurants & Bakeries business.
Roark also purchased most of Arby’s chain for $130 million cash from Wendy’s/Arby’s Group Inc.
Figures for the Corner Bakery/Italian Il Fornaio deal weren’t disclosed.
