Arlington Heights police responded about 12:20 a.m. Thursday to a report of a burglary in progress in the 1400 block of West Oakton Street. A witness saw at least three subjects — possibly teens — take something from a relative’s car parked outside.

Police responded immediately and also received a report that car alarms were activating in the 1600 block of West Brown. One of the suspects was described as having blond hair with black clothing. Within five minutes, police had a suspect at Thomas and Salem, and suspects were also detained at Clarendon and Yale.

It is not certain where all suspects were apprehended, but police transported possibly at two females and a male juvenile to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters for questioning.
