Suspected Attempted Car Burglars Spotted by Police on Dryden Near Park

Arlington Heights police received a report about 1:00 a.m. Sunday of two suspicious male subjects looking into vehicles on the 600 block of South Dryden. Police received a report that two male/juveniles wearing dark clothes with hoods and white shoes were headed northbound on Dryden. Police spotted two males wearing dark clothing running through backyards from Park Street, just west of Dryden.

Several police units setup a perimeter in the neighborhood, but the subjects were not found.

A witness also reported seeing the subjects enter the trunk of a vehicle on Dryden. Police were investigating to see if a burglary had been committed and were working to discover if there was a victim to a vehicle burglary.

  1. How can you set a perimeter and they still escape. I hate to be a broken record but I think at times our police force is enept. Too many burglaries and no arrests.
