New Feature from The Cardinal: Specific Weather History Link for Date of Article

#ad▼

A new feature introduced today for readers of The Cardinal — Arlingtoncardinal.com

Beginning May 3, 2011 each article post has a link to the weather data History from Weather Underground — wunderground.com for the respective date of the article. In other words, when readers are reading about an incident, they can check the weather in Chicago for the day the article was first published. Easy links are provided on the WeatherUnderground website for the “Next Day” and Previous Day” for each date. The weather link always lands on the data for Chicago, O’Hare International Airport (KORD). Readers can select a different city from within the WeatherUnderground website.

The new weather link is located in the red shaded box, just above the title of the article (shown highlighted by yellow outline box below). The date of the weather link always matches the date of the article.

Example page from article on fugitive Robert Maday that was posted on September 17, 2009.
