Northbrook firefighter/paramedics, Northbrook police and the Illinois State Police responded about 4:45 p.m. Wednesday to a four-car crash on the eastbound lanes of the Edens Spur about midway between Waukegan Road and Skokie Boulevard.
Four people were reported injured, but no word is available on the extent of the injuries. An EMS Box was requested by Northbrook Fire Department, which brought more than five ambulances to the scene. Fire departments from Deerfield-Bannockburn, Glenview, Northfield, Prospect Heights, Wheeling, Highland Park, Skokie, Winnetka, North Maine Fire Protection District, and others assisted Northbrook Fire Department.
Eastbound lanes were almost at a standstill during management of the crash scene.
