Bloomingdale Police Seeking Retail Theft/Hit-and-Run Suspect

Bloomingdale police alerted area departments about 5:25 p.m. Friday of a retail theft case that also involved a hit-and-run crash near Army Trail and Bloomingdale Road. A suspect apparently fleeing a retail theft was involved in a hit-and-run crash. The offending vehicle was a dark green 1994 Lexus passenger sedan. The suspect abandoned the vehicle on eastbound Interstate 290 just east of Addison, and jumped over a fence and fled into a nearby wooded area.

The suspect was described as a male/black 6’0″ 250 LBS, heavy build, wearing a blue short-sleeved shirt, black or dark brown knee-length shorts, and white gym shoes.
