Reckless Driving Complaints at Parks: Pioneer, Heritage, Carefree

Arlington Heights police received reports of reckless driving Friday night

First, police received a report about 8:45 p.m. Friday of an ongoing problem at Pioneer Park pool, 502 South Fernandez Avenue … police were looking for two vehicles — one with a loud muffler.

Second police received a report about 9:20 p.m. at Heritage Park, 506 South Victoria that two vehicles were racing around Heritage Park. Police received a report that they were last seen headed southbound on Fernandez Avenue toward Golf Road. The only description of the vehicle was that one was a black car.

Third, police received a report, about 9:55 p.m. that four vehicles Carefree Park, 1231 South Belmont Avenue. The witness described several youths around vehicles in the parking lot at the park after a pickup truck and three ‘sporty’ vehicles were racing around side streets and at the parking lot.
