Hundreds of Dead Fish in Maryknoll Pond in Glen Ellyn, Just East of I-355

#ad▼

A popular fishing pond full of bass, catfish and bluegill, started showing hundreds of floating dead fish accompanied by a terrible smell this week near the 800 block of Maryknoll Circle. So far no determination has been made about what species have been killed, or if all have been killed.

The Maryknoll pond is connected to a stream connected to several small ponds throughout Glen Ellyn and Lisle.

Glenbard Advanced Waste Water treatment plant is just south of the location.
