Arlington Heights police responded about 6:15 PM Sunday to a report of a possible fraudulent purchase attempt at Best Buy, 615 East Palatine Road. Police received a report that two men were using a Texas ID that was believed to be fake and an invalid Best Buy gift card.

The subjects were described as (1) a male/black wearing a black hat and a black jacket and (2) a male/black wearing a striped green and white shirt.

Police were on the scene within three minutes and discovered two males in the parking lot that matched the description of the subjects. The men were near or in a Hyundai Sonata. Police checked their identification, and at least one possibly had fake identification.

Police arrested one of the men and towed his Hyunda Sonata to a police holding area.
