Fidel Bahena-Aguilar Found Dead at Apartment Building on Arbor Drive, Rolling Meadows

Rolling Meadows police and firefighter/paramedics responded to a report of a man unconscious and not breathing just before 5:30 a.m. Tuesday in an apartment in the 4700 block of Arbor Drive. Police arrived on the scene within minutes and found Fidel Bahena, 36, who was victim of an apparent homicide. Rolling Meadows firefighter/paramedics, who were staged outside the apartment while police secured the crime scene. Paramedics confirmed the victim was dead just after 5:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Bahena-Aguilar’s death has been ruled a homicide by the Cook County medical examiner’s office. His brother Bernardo Bahena-Aguilar, who shared the apartment on Arbor Drive, has been named in a warrant in connection with the homicide.

During investigation, Rolling Meadows police discovered that the two brothers had a fight overnight or very early Tuesday morning. Police believe Bernardo Bahena-Aguilar fled the State of Illinois. Rolling Meadows police, Cook County authorities and federal authorities are working on the homicide case.
