Red Dodge Dakota file photo similar to vehicle that police were investigating Monday night. As with any suspicious activity, neighbors should report suspicious activity associated with this vehicle.
Arlington Heights police responded just after 8:00 PM Monday to a report of shots fired in the 1200 block of East Northwest Highway. Police received a report of a shot fired from a red Dodge Dakota pickup truck with a ladder rack in the back of the truck.
A good vehicle description was obtained for the truck. The truck was last seen westbound in the alley toward Chatham Place.
A public works truck was working in the area, but the driver did not hear any shots fired.
Sunday night a loud bang was reported in the 300 block of South Derbyshire about 11:40 p.m. and a few minutes later a vehicle owner reported his car motor ‘exploded’ but there was no fire.
Police and fire responded to that incident Sunday. Arlington Heights police are investigating.
