Short 120 MPH High Speed Pursuit on I-90, Driver Arrested DUI, Dodge Charger Towed

Arlington Heights police arrested a DUI driver just before 2:00 AM Saturday on Interstate 90 at mile marker 77, just west of the O’Hare International Airport interchange with I-190. Police initiated a pursuit with a vehicle that was caught going 60 mph in a 35 mph zone in Arlington Heights about 1:45 a.m. A silver Dodge Charger entered eastbound Interstate 90 at Arlington Heights Road. For a short distance near the O’Hare Oasis the speed of the pursuit exceeded 120 mph. The driver of the Dodge Charger pulled over just west of the O’Hare interchange of I-90 and I-190. Several other police units immediately backed up the officer calling in the pursuit.

On the traffic stop the driver was arrested DUI. The male driver was transported in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. The driver’s Dodge Charger was towed to a police holding area.
