Crashes on Slick Roads Again: Route 53, Southbound Kennedy at Montrose

Rolling Meadows firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:10 p.m. Saturday to a rollover crash near a northbound entrance ramp to Route 53. No injuries were reported and the drivers was out walking around his vehicle as police arrived. IDOT called in for salt on the road.

Palatine Fire Department responded about 8:40 pm. to northbound Route 53, just south of Rand Road with injuries. A second crash also occurred just after first crash. One crashed car on the median lane and one on the right shoulder.

Chicago Fire Department firefighters and paramedics responded about 8:15 p.m. Saturday to a multiple car crash on the inbound Kennedy Expressway (I-90) at Montrose, near ‘The Junction’. Chicago Fire Department called an EMS Plan I in the local lanes plus two additional rescue ambulances, bringing a total of seven ambulances to the scene.

At about 11:15 p.m., Deerfield Road near Weiland was reported to be a ‘sheet of ice.’
