Buffalo Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:50 PM Friday to a report of a house fire in the 800 block of Highland Grove Drive. A resident reported the two-story house filling with smoke from a fire in a bedroom at the rear of the second floor. Police arrived just before firefighters and reported smoke showing.

The house was searched twice by firefighters. No victims found and no reports of injuries. The fire was extinguished with firefighters clearing the scene by late afternoon. Fire investigators were also on the scene.

Firefighters from Arlington Heights, Lincolnshire and Long Grove, Palatine and Palatine Rural assisted Buffalo Grove Fire Department.

Buffalo Grove police worked to provide safe pickup at Tripp Middle School for parents pickup children at school across the street.
