Attempted Vehicle Burglary on South Stratford

Arlington Heights police responded about 3:10 AM Sunday in the 200 block of South Stratford Police received a report that a dog alerted an owner to a suspect near his car parked outside. The dog ran to the car, and the suspect ran toward Kensington Road, and then eastbound on Kensington Rd.

The suspect, wearing dark clothes, was possibly carrying a backpack or shoulder bag. Police tracked with a K-9 unit and visual tracks and believe the suspect got into a car that was parked in front of 115 South Gibbons Avenue and left the neighborhood. No items were missing.
