Attempted Burglary to Tow Truck Foiled by Alert Citizen

Arlington Heights police responded just after 12:15 AM Sunday to a report of a burglary to vehicle in progress at 5 South Dryden. Police received a report that three male/white or male/Hispanic subjects were attempting to get into a tow truck parked near an exit to a parking lot at 5 South Dryden.

A person yelled at the three subjects and they jumped into a red SUV that stopped momentarily next to the tow truck and then left the scene.

Police pulled over one SUV that turned out to be the wrong SUV, the offender’s pulled away before police arrived.

Nothing was missing from the tow truck.
