Theft in Apartment Unit 1 Week After Fire Strikes Apartment on South Goebbert

Arlington Heights police received a report about 1:10 p.m. Monday of a theft of a a BB gun, a safe, laptop, video game system, video games, CD player, DVD’s and other items in an apartment unit in the 2100 block of South Goebbert Road.

The offenders also poured ketchup, hot sauce, mustard, and spices in a fish tank, which killed three goldfish.

The crime is reported to have occurred about one week after an apartment unit fire while fire and smoke restoration work is underway.

Arlington Heights police are investigating.
