Stove Fire Extinguished in Minutes at Apartment on Bloomington Ave

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:35 PM Saturday to a report of a a stove fire at an apartment in the 4100 block of Bloomington Avenue. The resident reported flames showing from the stove. Firefighters arrived to find a stove on fire with smoke and fire. The fire was knocked within minutes. Firefighters ventilated the apartment with positive air pressure and removed the stove from the apartment unit.

Buffalo Grove and Palatine Fire Department responded automatically to the address — assisting Arlington Heights firefighters. Buffalo Grove’s ladder truck was returned before arrival on the scene.
