Snow expected to start between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. Tuesday in Arlington Heights. Snow is already just to the west on radar, but it is not expected to start snowing at ground level until later. Forecasters predict 2-4 inches for our area with 3-5 inches south (total by Tuesday late night). There is a slight chance of lake effect snow for northeast Illinois, but the significant lake effect snow will be in northwest Indiana. Snow in Arlington Heights is expected to end between 10 p.m. and midnight Tuesday night.

Tuesday Night: A 40 percent chance of snow, mainly before midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 18. North northwest wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
