Theft of Backpacks at Downtown Metra Station, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 7:10 PM Tuesday to a report of a theft at the downtown Metra station, 45 West Northwest Highway. Police received a report that a male, possibly a homeless person, stole luggage or a backpack of some type.

The luggage was described as two backpacks, one of the backpacks was blue and gray. The backpacks were left in care of an individual who might have taken off with the backpacks and headed for the PADS site at the First Presbyterian Church on Dunton Avenue.

The offender is possibly a male, homeless individual that has a resemblance to ‘Kenny Rogers.’

Police responded also to the PADS site for investigation. While they were a subject asked for medical attention and the paramedics were called to the scene. It is unknown if the person asking for medical attention was the suspect in the case. Arlington Heights police are investigating.
