Rolling Meadows, Schaumburg Police Respond to Burglary-in-Progress on Arbor Drive, Rolling Meadows

Rolling Meadows police responded just before 5:10 AM Friday of a burglary to residence in progress in the 4700 block of Arbor Drive. Police received a report that an unknown offender was attempting to break into a ground floor apartment door in an inside hallway. Soon afterwards police received a report that an offender was inside the apartment.

Rolling Meadows police surrounded the apartment building, and Schaumburg police sent two squads to assist Rolling Meadows.

The resident of the apartment reported that they were hiding in a bedroom with the door closed. Police entered the apartment and found no offenders.

The door was reported damaged, and Rolling Meadows police sent an evidence technician to the scene. Rolling Meadows police are investigating.
