House Fire on Belmar Lane, Buffalo Grove

Buffalo Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:30 AM Tuesday to a report of a house fire in the 900 block of Belmar Lane. Police and firefighters arrived to find heavy, black smoke coming from the garage. Buffalo Grove firefighters stopped the fire in about 30 minutes.

Firefighters from Arlington Heights, Lake Bluff, Lincolnshire-Riverwoods, Long Grove, Palatine and others assisted Buffalo Grove firefighters.

All residents of the house were reported evacuated just after firefighters arrived.

Firefighters also searched the house twice as a precaution.
