Evanston Man Robbed by Two Men While Shoveling Snow on Church Street

Evanston police received a report about 2:15 p.m. Sunday that a man was robbed on the 1500 block of Church Street and slashed in the face by two men while he was outside shoveling snow Sunday afternoon.

Police received a report that two male offenders approached him, demanded his money, and cut his face with an unknown object. The victim was then forced into a vehicle and robbed of his cell phone and money at the crime scene about one-half mile southwest of Northwestern University.

The offenders were described as two black males, between 30 and 35. Offender #1 was described as 5’7″ 200 LBS, wearing a cream-colored hooded sweatshirt. Offender #2 was described as 5’6″ 180 LBS, wearing a black coat.

Evanston police are investigating.
