Driver Turns Car on Railroad Tracks at Walnut Ave, Arrested DUI

Arlington Heights police responded about 2:50 AM Sunday to a motorist assist for a vehicle that turned from Walnut Avenue onto the Union Pacific railroad tracks. Police arrived and found a vehicle stuck on the tracks about 20 feet off of the roadway. About 3:10 a.m. the driver was arrested for DUI. The driver was transported in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. The driver’s vehicle was towed to a police holding area.
