Dallas police have arrested a local pastor and charged her with breaking into the home of one of her parishioners on Christmas Eve, and then trying to steal thousands dollars worth of personal property.

Sandra McGriff, 51, who leads The Church of the Living God in south Dallas claims she only followed two other burglars into a home where she was caught by police in the act of loading her car with more than $10,000 worth of fur coats, designer purses and electronics.

She claims she should have called police, but climbed in through a broken window to confront them. No other burglars were seen by any other people in the area.

McGriff maintains that she turned her life around from a criminal history that includes prostitution and fraud, and that she would never burglarize a home.
