Two Women Hit by Vehicle at Sigwalt and Evergreen, Other Crashes for Snowy Evening Rush

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded just before 4:45 PM Thursday of a vehicle vs. two pedestrians at the intersection of Sigwalt Street and Evergreen Avenue. Police reported minor injuries at the scene. A witness reported two women in their 60’s were struck by a car. Both were transported to Northwest Community Hospital. Snow was falling and roads were slippery when the incident occurred.

Also, during the evening rush in the light snow, a car crash with minor injuries occurred at Palatine and Kennicott.

A car also crashed into a tree on the median at Arlington Heights Road and McHenry Road in Buffalo Grove. The person was reported out of the car. No hospital or transport information available.
