Arlington Heights police responded about 11:10 PM Thursday to a report of a suspicious person in the 100 block of West Northwest Highway. Police received a report from a man that another man yelled at him, demanded money and fell down near the Marathon gas station at Vail Avenue and Northwest Highway.

The man was last seen just north of the Marathon station sleeping behind the AT&T building.

Police found the man and called paramedics for an apparent highly intoxicated male. Arlington Heights Fire Department firefighter/paramedics responded, but were returned before they arrived because the man refused medical help, and was alert and oriented.

Police transported the man to Arlington Heights Police Department headquarters.
