Arlington Heights and Elk Grove Village police were alerted to a stolen auto report from the Cook County Forest Preserve police investigating the auto theft near Busse Woods. A silver Volkswagen Passat 4-door with three bicycle racks on the roof was reported stolen from a parking lot near Arlington Heights Road and Illinois Route 72 between 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
