Arlington Heights and Buffalo Grove police responded about 7:10 p.m. Saturday in the area of the old Jeep/Chrysler dealership at Dundee Road and Old Arlington Heights Road for a report of youth breaking glass to a vehicle or vehicles at the back of the building. Youths were also reported hiding by Old Arlington Court. The Arlington Heights police beat car in the area assisted Buffalo Grove police.
Police got a call back about 8:55 p.m. Saturday that the youths were back. The youths apparently went through a broken fence (or broke the fence) and headed south into the Mill Creek complex and then headed eastbound on foot along the fence line. One of the youths was wearing a blue-and-orange jacket.
No word on police contact with the offenders.
