Arlington Heights police responded to a report about 6:30 p.m. Friday of retail theft that just occurred at Mariano’s Fresh Market in the 800 block of East Northwest Highway. The offenders were described as two males, one was wearing shorts and no shirt, and the other subject was riding a bike wearing a green hooded sweatshirt. One of the offenders was holding a bottle of alcohol, but tossed it to the ground while he was pursued, which broke the bottle. At least one of the offenders rand out of the store with the liquor bottle without paying for the item.
The offenders were reported heading toward Northwest Highway, but later they were reported heading North behind (just west) of the Subway.
Usually can be found camping at the back of Rec Park by the picnic table. Mariano’s close locale is a dream come true for these guys!
