Mount Prospect Police Investigate Death of Jean Wittecamps, Found with Stab Wounds

Mount Prospect police are investigating the death of Jean Wittecamps, 52, of the 2300 block of Lexington Drive in Mount Prospect. Police responded to Wittecamps’ apartment before 10:00 a.m. Thursday and discovered him dead in his apartment. Police set up a perimeter this morning and were searching the area for clues.

The death is being treated as a homicide, since the original investigation turned up signs of foul play. A significant area of the apartment building was surrounded by police line tape and a Mount Prospect police car with an officer was standing guard of the crime scene as late as 1:00 a.m. Friday and probably later.
