Large Fireworks Device Detonated Next to PNC Bank on 9th Street Lockport

Lockport fire officials, bomb squad, HAZMAT officials and police responded about 9:00 p.m. Friday to the detonation of a large fireworks device next to the lobby of the PNC, 955 E.9th Street, Lockport, Illinois. The blast destroyed the vehicle, which was parked front-end first right up to the lobby doors. The PNC Bank was formerly a National City Bank.

No injuries reported.

PNC Financial Services Group acquired National City in 2008.
