Lake Michigan Boat Crash South of Harbor Near Lake Forest and Fort Sheridan, 3 Victims

Lake Forest Fire Department responded about 10:30 p.m. Friday to a boat crash into a break wall in Lake Michigan south of the harbor — possibly closer to Fort Sheridan. Highwood Fire Department and Highland Park Fire Department also responded to the scene.

Firefighters setup flares and a Highwood rescue ambulance was dispatched at about 11:05 p.m. to Cliff Road at the north end of Fort Sheridan. A Highland Park rescue ambulance also responded to the Lake Michigan shore at Cliff Road.

Reports of three victims on board the boat. One victim made it to shore first, then the other two made it to shore. The three victims were transported by Lake Forest and Highland Park rescue ambulances to Highland Park Hospital.

The boat also made it to shore.
