Arlington Heights police received a report about 5:00 a.m. Wednesday of a battery at the Red Roof Inn, 22 West Algonquin Road. A woman told the clerk at the front desk that another woman struck her in the head. One woman was arrested — charged with battery and transported to Arlington Heights police headquarters about 6:00 a.m. Arlington Heights police are investigating.
