Stabbing Victim on Algonquin Rd, Mt. Prospect; Suspect Apprehended at Forest View

Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded to a report just before 8:00 a.m. Tuesday of a stabbing victim in the 2000 block of West Algonquin Road. A male in his 40’s was reported stabbed in an apartment near Algonquin Road and Brownstone. Police were looking for a female suspect possibly near John Jay School, 1835 West Pheasant Trail in Mount Prospect, which is just north of the crime scene. The female suspect was described as being 23 years-old, with brown hair and wearing a hat and possibly standing near the stop sign at Tamarack Drive and West Pheasant Trail. She was possibly still carrying the knife and entered a red vehicle — possibly a red Chevy Aveo with front end damage.

The female suspect was in custody with Arlington Heights police and Mount Prospect police in front of Forest View Education Center by 8:35 a.m. Tuesday.
