Crash on Lake Cook Road West of Wilke

A Pontiac Grand Prix and a silver car crashed on Lake Cook Road west of Wilke Road at about 9:15 a.m. Monday. Westbound lanes of Wilke Road were blocked while firefighter/paramedics worked to free a baby that was locked in one of the crashed cars. Police also blocked one lane of eastbound Lake Cook Road.

Firefighter/paramedics from Arlington Heights, Long Grove and Palatine responded to the crash scene. At least two people were injured and transported to the hospital. Arlington Heights police and Cook County Sheriff’s deputies managed the traffic scene at the crash. The crash was classified an extrication.
