Woman Reports Battery While Passenger in Car Driven by Man Who Struck Her

Arlington Heights police received a report from a woman about 1:30 p.m. Saturday that a male friend struck her at the Aldi’s parking lot at Rand Road and Thomas Avenue in Prospect Heights. The female reported she was a passenger in a black Mazda 3 that was driven by a male friend, who was driving the vehicle on a route that included Rand Road, Euclid, Dryden and Northwest Highway. An alert Arlington Heights police officer caught up with the Mazda 3 at Northwest Highway and Davis near the underpass.

The Arlington Heights police escorted the subjects back to the ALDI store in Prospect Heights where the victim met with Prospect Heights police officer with the intent to sign a complaint for battery. Information on an arrest is unknown.
