Chevy Equinox, Toyota Camry Crash at Route 14 and Walnut Ave, 1 Hurt

Crash scene video at Northwest Highway and Walnut Avenue Thursday about 1:45 p.m.

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:35 p.m. Thursday to a crash at Northwest Highway (Route 12) and Walnut Avenue. One woman in a Toyota Camry was injured and transported to Northwest Community Hospital. A male driver in a Chevy Equinox did not appear to be injured. The crash damaged a light pole and a traffic control box. The traffic signal lights were not functioning as a result of the crash.

Meade Electric was immediately on the scene to repair the traffic lights.

Buffalo Grove firefighter/paramedics, who were returning from Northwest Community Hospital in a BGFD rescue/ambulance assisted AHFD firefighter/paramedics.

Walnut Avenue was blocked in both directions while the accident was managed by police and fire personnel.
