Arlington Heights Fire Department firefighter/paramedics responded to a report just before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday that a woman in her 80’s was found unconscious and not breathing in her backyard in the 2200 block of Coldspring Road.

Police also responded and learned that her son-in-law came to the house to visit and check on Sukhbir Dhillon, 86, and could not find her, at first. Then he found the woman in the backyard, unconscious and not breathing. The son-in-law called 9-1-1 and was able to get her inside her house before paramedics arrived.

Paramedics treated the woman, but she was pronounced dead at Northwest Community Hospital. The Cook County Medical Examiner ruled Wednesday that the death was accidental and caused by a heart condition and exposure to cold weather.
