Video of crash aftermath caused by driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee that hit the attached garage of a house on Equestrian Drive in Wheeling.
Wheeling police activity for search of male/black about 6′ tall, wearing blue pants, after he bailed from a car that crashed into a house in the 600 block of Equestrian Drive in Wheeling about 8:30 a.m. Sunday. Police say the offender fled on foot in a fast sprint into the Pheasant Run condominium area, just northwest of the accident scene. A resident of the house that was hit pursued the fleeing offender, and arriving Wheeling police units joined in the pursuit.
The suspect’s wallet was left in the vehicle still crashed inside the garage, as he sprinted away from his car. Police caught up with the suspect on Pheasant Run Drive, just northwest of the crash scene. One male/black suspect, a witness described wearing a doo rag and wide blue and white pants, was in custody just before 8:50 a.m. Sunday.
