Apartment Fire Overnight Ends in Arrest of One Male

An activated fire alarm alerted Arlington Heights Fire Department firefighter/paramedics to an apartment fire in the 700 block of East Falcon Drive at about 3:05 a.m. When firefighters arrived, residents were seen evacuating the building. Firefighters found smoke on the second floor and reported a possible fire. When firefighters got to the seat of the fire, they reported that the fire was out.

Firefighters brought ventilation fans to the second floor and found items in the area of the fire that required a police investigation. The unit where the fire was located was also deemed unfit for habitation. Firearms and ammunition were also found at the scene. The health department and police department were called to the scene.

One male was arrested as a result of the apartment fire incident on Falcon Drive.
