Scam/Theft Attempt on North Kennicott

Arlington Heights police received a report of a scam/theft attempt on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 4:00 p.m.

The offender attempted to enter a home in the 1600 block of North Kennicott with a ruse entry. He said that he needed to view the victim’s backyard as he would be doing some work there. When the offender attempted to get the victim to go out into the backyard, the victim realized something was wrong and called 911. The offender immediately fled the area.

The offender was described as a male with olive complexion, 5’10” with a stocky build in his 40’s. He was possibly driving a white SUV — likely a Jeep Wrangler.
