Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded to the 600 block of West Dempster Street about 11:05 p.m. Tuesday for the report of a hit-and-run personal injury accident, car v. pedestrian. Mount Prospect police alerted area police to be on the lookout for the offending vehicle — a black corvette that was last seen fleeing northbound on Linneman Road. The offending driver was alleged to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The offender was also alleged to possess a weapon of some type.
