Two District 25 Schools Get Security Checks After Burglar Alarms

Arlington Heights police responded to District 25 schools after burglar alarms were set off early Sunday afternoon. At Westgate School on South Dwyer Avenue, Arlington Heights police responded immediately and found an unsecured door. Police notified a representative from District 25, and police were able to secure the door on their own.

About an hour later police responded immediately to a burglar alarm at Thomas Middle School, 1430 North Belmont Avenue. Police officers found a broken window that was presumed to have tripped the alarm. Police investigated and determined that offenders did not enter the building.
