The latest dumpster fire and a car damaged by a fire at 2 Villa Verde in Buffalo Grove prompted a K-9 search for tracking work at the scene. The fire was reported about 3:45 a.m. Buffalo Grove Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire.
An Arlington Heights police K-9 unit assisted Buffalo Grove police officers at about 4 a.m. Sunday. The dumpster fire was the third fire in two nights along Dundee Road. The fire was quickly put out, but so far investigators are at a loss and have no suspects. Another dumpster fire at 655 Grove in Buffalo Grove at about 2:15 a.m. raised suspicions of arson.
Probably always a good practice, but avoid parking next to dumpsters … and especially in the area of Dundee Road in Arlington Heights and Buffalo Grove.
