A Buffalo Grove police officer called in a report of a downed motorcycle at Old 53 and Route 53 about 4:40 p.m. Thursday. Personal injury to at least the motorcyclist was reported. The Buffalo Grove police officer was not involved in the accident.
Long Grove Fire Department firefighter/paramedics responding to the scene. Lake County Sheriff is also on the scene, and Lake County Sheriff’s police officers are managing the scene. Buffalo Grove police are assisting at the scene in Lake County’s jurisdiction.
The accident is reported to be a hit-and-run personal injury accident.
The offending vehicle is reported to be a silver Jeep Cherokee with minor front-end damage.
The driver is reported to be a female Hispanic with dark hair and dark complexion last seen northbound Route 83.
